At Tri-City Family Place we affirm the crucial role of those who nurture infants and young children and we relieve the stress and isolation often faced by parents and caregivers in our community.

At our informal drop-in centre for families and caregivers with infants and children under 5, adult participants can find support and friendship, programs to enhance family life and valuable community information, while their children play nearby in a safe, enriching environment.

Cost is $1 per child or $5 per month for the family. A $45 yearly membership is also available.

Hours of Operation are 9 am to 1:00 pm, Monday to Friday. See Summer Holidays, Days of Operation or Parenting Programs for additional hours.

We currently have three staff and 2 students and several volunteers. The staff is qualified to answer most questions and can make a referral to another staff person or another community partner.

We are open every weekday all year long except the week between Christmas and New Year's. We are also closed on Statutory Holidays: Easter Friday and Monday, Victoria Monday, Canada Day, BC Day, Labour Day, Thanksgiving and Remembrance Day. See Events: Park Days for Fridays in the Park through out the summer.

All centres recognize and encourage children's social interaction through play and learning. Family Place plays the role of the extended family by offering support, friendship and other resources to families.
